Multi-shot lightning enchanted heirophants are scary.
And I got "Diablo walks the earth" on my game last night. I tried fighting him but didn't cause nearly enough damage for the rate that he was healing himself. Man....

Lucky, maybe, but not lucky enough. Couldn't beat him. Couldn't even scratch him for that matter. I just read that he has a 95% resistance to lightning, which makes me all but ineffective.

Yeah, in hindsight I should have gone and tried to find a "Prevent Monster Heal" weapon to buy somewhere before I gave up. Ah well. I think I'll be on tonight. I'm currently trying to make it to the Council. There's this heirophant unique that was multi-shot lightning enchanted lightning immune fire immune, which basically means I can't touch it and if I keep Mind Blasting it it will just kill my merc and shadow master. Maybe it will be different this time.

Edit: I'm on now.
Edit2: Question, does the aura from an runeword stack on the natural aura of a merc? I just put Insight on my merc, and his Might aura seems to have been replaced with the Meditation aura instead of stacking on it. Is it just the animation of the Meditation aura overtaking the Might aura animation, or did the Might aura go away?

Death to hell Mephisto!!! Muah hah hah hah! And he wasn't even lightning immune.
And the auras do stack, it's just that with my merc at least, my merc has to get into some fights before his aura turns on.

Auras from skills and aura from weapons stack. They both activate at roughly the same time, but due to the nature of DII and internet play, it can take anywhere up to five second for either one to activate. Usually, Auras switch animation (unless by the time the other one will show animation, it will have ended, in which case, it doesn't show at all).
For example, a Barbarian casts BC and BO on a Paladin with Concentration and Azurewrath Blade equipped. The animation will switch from one to the other based on priority. It will at first show Conc, then Sanc, and then BC or BO based on order of casting. Usually.
Baal, Diablo, and Mephisto are not immune to anything. They just have hella lot of HP.
