Technically it's a global machine made of huge and massive amounts of servers and storage that are either privatized, protected, or open to free hacking just to keep all the newbies away, that is run by some of the most qualified computer science and technology majors in the entirety of the United States, so I wouldn't classify it as a machine, more like a cyborg.
