I've made poison and bone necros before, so I'm comfortable with the build, but any equipment would be delicious.
All of those would be fun, but without anybody to play with, it's just blah. It's BLAH. Which is why one day I will get you, Koast, and Chimney together and the four of us will make 'original' chars and play them. And none of you have a choice.
Make a barb that maxes out the Totem thing.
Edit: I'd also like to say that I think Attract is an underrated skill. It's not as good as having lots of summons, but it can take the place of summons well enough if you don't have the points and you use it right. Attract is love, y'all.
