This game is a bore, and seems to be played largely by people that have the cognitive capacity of a cantaloupe.

Someone tell - or even better, prove - me otherwise.

Because when it comes to online games people treat it like the next step up from Runescape (though Diablo II LoD is like a bullion times better)... And they still have those awful inflictions on them perhaps?

I'm only interested in it when I have somebody to play through nightmare and hell with. With Koast already gone and Vietnom fizzling, once Chimney leaves I'll probly just pack it up again.

Blizzard needs to release a "Common Diablo II player" patch that fixes all the bugs and annoyances.

But, knowing Blizzard, that will likely backfire.

If they ever do release another patch, everything will just be flipped like always and all annoyances will remain. All the underpowered stuff will become overpowered, and the overpowered stuff will start to suck. It's what happens everytime they try and balance things.

Just look at Blessed Hammer. It used to do lots of damage and everybody used it for a short period of time. I'm talking, like, pre-Expansion. Then they nerfed it and it was horrible. But they didn't want nobody to use it, so they gave it a boost with Synergies and made it too strong again. They just can't seem to nail it o_o
