So, basically, is the damage the opponent receives the actual damage I receive after the Damage Reduction ___ or % is applied to the original calculation of what the damage would have been BEFORE it was reduced by X?

ie.:

Let's say an enemy would normally inflict 500 damage
If I have items that reduces damage inflicted by 50%, I obviously only receive 250 damage.

I have my Lvl 20 Thorns aura active, which is supposed to have a return of 1010% damage
Is this damage actually inflicted on my character? Or is it what the damage would have been if I DID NOT have any damage reduction?

Additionally, is there any way to multiply the suffix "Attacker Takes Damage of..."? Or is this suffix only additive?in any form reduced due to me taking less damage?

EDIT: If I have an "Enhanced Damage xxx%" modifier, is the "Attacker Takes Damage of..." suffix affected?
The Damage Reduced is applied first, if I remember it correctly. There's an order for this stuff.

If you had 50% DR against a 1000 attack and a 100% Thorns Aura, you would reflect 100% of 500, which is 500.

No. Attacker takes damage every time they successfully hit you. This number does not change, and is not affected by defense or any other mods. As such, it usually remains a low number. It's trash.
