    ie.:

Let's say an enemy would normally inflict 500 damage
If I have items that reduces damage inflicted by 50%, I obviously only receive 250 damage.

I have my Lvl 20 Thorns aura active, which is supposed to have a return of 1010% damage
Is this damage actually inflicted on my character? Or is it what the damage would have been if I DID NOT have any damage reduction?

Additionally, is there any way to multiply the suffix "Attacker Takes Damage of..."? Or is this suffix only additive?in any form reduced due to me taking less damage?

EDIT: If I have an "Enhanced Damage xxx%" modifier, is the "Attacker Takes Damage of..." suffix affected?
The Damage Reduced is applied first, if I remember it correctly. There's an order for this stuff.

If you had 50% DR against a 1000 attack and a 100% Thorns Aura, you would reflect 100% of 500, which is 500.

No. Attacker takes damage every time they successfully hit you. This number does not change, and is not affected by defense or any other mods. As such, it usually remains a low number. It's trash.

    Damn...

I figured it would be as such. It would make a masochistic Pally far too much fun.

Blizzard only wants Lightning Sorcs and Hammerdins apparently...

I swear to god, I'm going to make a mod that makes it possible to have a masochistic build actually work. I want to see enemies die by hurting me.

I WANT IT DAMMIT. The Blood Moor is only so fun for a while...

Median has a damage return Barbarian build. Max Pheonix Stance and Lightning shield, find yourself a nice Damage Return set of equipment and voila, instant victoly.

Bah, Phoenix Stance is only for Fire Damage...
The Barbarian was lame anyways. I couldn't kill the stupid Infernal Machine with him...

I see that there have been a few changes to the mod since I last played it. Druids look immensely fun, though a Totem/Summoner Necromancer looks rather intriguing.

    Does the Amazon still blow?

That's why you use Lightning Shield. Barbarians are the best class besides a Retaliator Paladin.

LOL no. Bloodzons are the third best.

Just in case you are wondering, the next best classes would be a Gamma Cheese/LOLFountain Druid, and a Acid Fiends/Charmer Druid.

Does the Necro begin to lose his power once Nightmare hits? His summons seem quite powerful now, but I could definitely see the quality of summons become less and less, eventually becoming a continuous blitzkreig rather than tactical.

60+ summons sounds awesome, but if they can't really deal much damage or survive long enough to deal it...

Tell more about Bloodzons. Is there a site with various builds for this current patch, Tav? I haven't had much time to truly expiriment past level 20.

Phrozen Keep, center of Laz' realm. Notice if you will, that our friend Captain Maxx Power of the holy order of the Red Mage Pirates is a moderator here.

I haven't done much with Necros. Hell, I haven't done nearly anything with Necros. As far as I know, depending on the summon specialized in, you have difficulty with certain parts of the game, and certain parts are easily passed by. I do know that Acid Fiends on Druid by themselves are rather painful as they get smashed apart without a secondary damage source, but fare well early on, and hold their own in Destruction, if you are meticulous enough to do one enemy at a time. It is plausible to do a Totem-buff summon build, but your skill will be stretched fairly thin.

If going summon with totem buff (similar to Poison Charming Druids), invest in the Death's Fury Totem. HP isn't much of a problem as long as you can keep summoning things. As for summons, I personally would invest in Lamia, perhaps Overlord, and Shadows. Lamia excel in dealing damage, Shadows have an HP buff, and Overlord lets you have more of them. Demon Blood and Ghoul Touch minion buffs also add a slow and more elemental damage.

Your uberskill I would think best to be Soulshatter, since it gives you an alternate damage source. If you find it rediculously necessary, get Deathstrike, your Crossbows skill. An essential for any Necromancer is 1 point in Nightmare and Unholy Armor.

If you need runes and find any of interest, let me know.

I would imagine that your skills would look akin to this:
    Maxed Lamia
    Maxed Death's Fury
    Maxed Deathstrike
    Maxed Soulshatter
a few points in Shadows, Demon Blood, Ghoul Touch
1 point in Nightmare, Unholy Armor, prerequisites

If you want some OSkills, Corruption gives access to Acid Fiends, Nahual gives some Barbarian summons. Anything with +skills would help immensely. This is your only source of extra damage.

I have discovered that Deathstrike is fun as hell. A shame there doesn't seem to be a weapon that truly excels with this skill though...

There's the Sacred Set, but... If I am to get the Necromancer's Set, I may as well use the Summoner oriented one - which uses a wand instead of a crossbow.

Level 6 Rares are among the best items in Median. Uniques are great, but hard to find. I'm only using Deathstrike because I needed an alternate attack, but it doesn't get set on the left click, which makes me sad.
