    Default Adobe Premiere help.

Yeah so my dad has this software and he doesnt use it anymore so gave it to me.

What I wanna know is, when im making videos of simple cuts of video and audio etc and then export it to a movie file, it ends up being something like 800 megabytes!!! Any idea whay? And how I can make the files smaller?
Any help will be much appreciated!

Save as an AVI and use a decent codec. A lot of people enjoy X-vid and Div-x, huffyuv is a a lossless one, and there's probably a lot more than the last time I looked.

I always export it as an AVI.
I have div-x and x-vid, but how is that gonna lower the file size, dont they just PLAY files???
Theres obviously something im missing or that I dont know yet...

Also I forgot to say. When I played the file, the audio was all messed up with crackling sounds even though the song that I used for my video was crystal clear and played perfectly on the Premiere monitor...
