Soda or Pop

In the small town of Minnesota where I was born, if you called it pop, people would throw you out of the place. It's soda. I say pop most of the time now because I get stared at funny if I say soda, but I say soda when I'm at home.

Are people really that serious about it?

Makes me laugh, because growing up in a small Minnesota town, I don't know if I ever once heard the term soda.

It's pop. I'm sick of this. Some people wouldn't know the truth if I put it into an aluminum can, carbonated it and bashed them in the face with it. I don't mind people calling it "soda" as long as those people don't mind being demented freaks of nature.
