I love death metal. Probably my favourite metal genre.

Favourite bands include: (in alphabetical order and if nothing else is specified, it's regular death metal)

    Aborted (grindcore/death)
    Aeon
    Amon Amarth (melodic death)
    Anata (technical death)
    At the Gates (melodic death)
    Atheist (jazzy thrash/death)
    Atrocity (lots of stuff)
Behemoth (the later material is death)
    Bloodbath (Swedish death)
    Brujeria (grindcore/death)
    Carnage (Swedish death)
Chthonic (black metal/melodic death metal/Taiwanese folk)
    Cynic (progressive/jazzy death)
    Dan Swanö (prgressive death)
    Dark Suns (progressive rock/death)
    Dark Tranquillity (melodic death)
    Death (old school death/post-thrash)
Deicide (generally pretty dull, but some stuff is cool, like Legion)
    Demonoid (death/thrash)
Deranged (brutal death) (Plainfield Cemetary is one of the most brutal albums ever created)
Die Apokalyptischen Reiter (good experimental death/new random crap)
    Dismember (Swedish death)
    Dorn (symphonic/gothic death)
    Edge of Sanity (progressive death)
    Eisblut
    Eisenvater (death metal/doom metal/grindcore)
    Eisregen (some deathish material)
    Entombed (Swedish death/death 'n roll)
    Exhale (death/grindcore)
    God Among Insects (brutal death)
Grave (Swedish death) (Into the Grave and all their demo material was probably the most brutal of its time)
    Haggard (classical music/folk music/symphonic death/thrash)
    Hollenthon (symphonic death)
    Hypocrisy (death/melodic death)
    Infestdead
    Insision (brutal death)
Intestine Baalism (melodic death) (unusually brutal for the genre)
    Killaman
