1. Yes, I'm sure many people have.
2. It's a part of their battle script. It's Toxic Barf is used against any target other than itself, and it's Bite is used against any target, including itself, so long as it has the Poison status.

"Aeris fan boys/girls" are crazy enough to try and put her to level 99...a waste of time if you ask me.
