Try to explain to her that having to wait until Christmas is like getting a kick in the nuts. (That's how I would feel. ) Then tell her that you'll buy it, and she can get you something else for Christmas. Don't forget to hint at the fact that if you don't get it until Christmas, you will spend the entire Christmas holidays playing it, due to the novelty of the newest Final Fantasy release, and she won't see you much. There's a limited edition I heard of the colllector's edition, but limited edition's must be really secret and rare like Metal Gear Solid 3's limited Edition it had both colllector's and limited , but I don't see the difference.
