Default Do I need to speak/read Japanese to play this game?

    Hiya,

I just got this game, but I don't speak Japanese at all. Is there an English patch for this game? I can't find one anywhere. Thanks guys!

I've got an iBook, so I need a Mac version of it.

I would assume so, considering he's asking for an english patch.

I'm pretty sure it isn't okay to provide links to such things, but it'd probably just be less of a hassle to find a pre-patched rom of the game. Any standard rom site should have it.

SNES9x, but I can't seem to find an English patch for this game anywhere. Romnation, videogames.com, etc.

There are English-translated ROMs out there that you should be able to find without too much trouble.

You can get the translation patch from a site such as Zophar. IIRC, translation patches are legal as long as they aren't providing the ROM with it (which they aren't). You also need to get a program called IPSWin (Google can easily find it). It's a program that applies the translation patch to the ROM, and it's very easy to use. Alternatively, you can get FFV Anthology for PSX or FFVA for GBA when it comes out in English.
