I believe Chris Rock puts it best in his stand up comedy. What you listen to and enjoy now (btw he is speaking of music here but I believe it is applicable to games) you will enjoy for the rest of your life (talking of teenagers) if you listen to rock then when youre 40 you'll still be listening to the same bands you were back then and your kids will say "omg how embarassing" but it wont matter to you what they think.
Most of the games are going to be boring when played 16-21 years,
but FF:s have no age limit! I play Final Fantasies as long as the disk is okay.

The only reasons people should stop playing video games is if:
1. They get very bored of them.
2. They play them so much that they dismiss all other responsibilities.
3. They spend all of their money on video games and leave nothing for bills, savings, etc.
There is no age limit in doing anything that you'll like doing it and won't harm...As you like it there won't be a limit in anything...

There are very few people over 50 who play video games, but that's because they weren't raised with them. As time goes by, video games will become like music and movies.
People might ridicule me for being 80 and still attached to video games, but psh I don't care, it's what I do.
They won't because by that time all of your friends will also be 80. :) Or Dead! :D
