just spend time with him when he sees that you want to hang out wiht him more and more he'll get the hint. and if you get the feeling he's interested too but wont ask you out just flat out tell him you like him if you were wrong and he doesnt have the feelings one it doesnt mean all hope is gone and besides atleast you dont have to wonder what if.
