You dont flirt to tell someone you like them, you ask someone out to tell them you like them. Just try asking him out. If the words cant come out of your mouth, then dont ask me for help. I've been tying to find the cure for years.
ive had such a hard time with telling people i like them or asking people out too. then one day i was like im fed up with this ill jsut go for it. and right before i told the girl in my head i said gotta live life to the fullest because you only get one chance to live life. so i jsut blurted it out with even though i was nervous and the words were probably hard to undertsand

That's very true.
I'd just remain friends with him though, you'll notice the signs if he likes you, but you have to give minor hints too in return to better know how he feels.
If it's meant to happen, it'll happen.
