I can do that on my $600 dollar PS3.
    The PS3 price is understandable,
    No.
Actually although it is a bummer that the ps3 costs much but it understandable. It's supposed to have like everything sony's affiliated with. Internet, DVDs, Camera stuff, and a lot more. But the Wii is just a hardware like Dreddz explained. But then again isn't the wii supposed to be able to download any old nintendo games? I haven't been too in touch with these updates.

With the Wii, you can download classic games, play online, check the local news and weather, and browse the Internet. It's also online at all times, even when it's "off," so Nintendo can upload demos and such for you to find waiting the next day.

Don't forget the picture viewer. You can put an SD card into the Wii, and if you had pictures on it from a digitial camera, you can view them.

You have to admit it's hard to keep track of it all.

I look forward to a game that uses that feature to integrate your own face into the game. I remember when that was promised for Perfect Dark. You were originally going to be able to use the Game Boy Camera to take a picture of your face and use the Transfer Pak to stick it on a character. There was a lot of stuff planned for that game that never made it into the final version... cheese....

It's official. Wii is better then ps3. And is the downloading of classic games free? And is it true that you can plug in your gamecube controller so you don't look like a dumbass fighting with a 1 inch squared white box?

The pricing structure for downloading Virtual Console games has only been established for Japan, where it'll be 500 yen for Famicom games, 800 yen for Super Famicom games, and 1000 yen for Nintendo 64 games. That translates to dollars as about $4.25, $6.81, and $8.51, respectively.

You can plug in a GameCube controller to play GameCube games--and Virtual Console games, presumably. But it obviously can't replicate the actions of the Wii Remote.

Don't be surprised if some Wii games come with free Virtual Console games.

About online multiplayer: Nintendo is going to have Pokemon as their flagship Online title for the Wii. Pokemon Battle Revolution comes out before the end of the year in Japan, so Japan will be online multiplayin' for the New Year. I'm not sure if they're gonna make the rest of the world wait for Pokemon, or if they'll have another game for it.

Online payment: 'WiiConnect24' is free, you will have to pay for commercial downloads like Virtual Console games and whatever inevitable microtransactions come up.

Wii $250 price: Nintendo could lower the price of the system, but they don't have to. $250 is making a profit for them, even including the game, whereas their competitors have to slash the retail price to make it more attractive. If a company is already selling their console at a major price cut (PS3: it's "too cheap"), it is unlikely that the price will reduce for a long, long time. Nintendo is starting at a profit, they can easily drop the price when they want.
