Regular DVDs. Dual-layer, I assume.
But the Nintendo Wii won't be able to play DVD movies, correct?
The Wii will not be able to play DVDs straight out of the box. I believe you will need to buy an add-on for that ability.

Nintendo stated that Wii won't play DVD movies at all, so that means they're not planning to support DVD movies. Doesn't mean a 3rd party (probably hackers) will not make a peripheral that will enable it somehow, but it seems unlikely.
Nintendo's reason was that most people have DVD players already, and including it in the Wii would have increased expense on the system a bit. Oh well.
The Wii is $250, it should have a DVD player.

And I understand that Nintendo might exclude a DVD player because we all have one, but that still dosent make up for the fact that the console is $250.
