Why is Golf so boring?

well.. check this out
your in a deserted decorated field with all that grass, you have a big metal stick with a blob of metal at the end, a little white ball with inner curves into to make it more interesting. Your standing in tight tight trousers with striped colours, some wierd yet extremely warm shirt with that weird top thingy on it, you got a striped coloured hat on, which itches like hell, while you beileve your testicals are caveing in cause of the pants. You stand in thin yet very long crampy shoes, driveing around a little cart that you can easy fall out of that takes less eletricity than your ps2.. Hmmm

I don't like golf either. I find every sport terribly boring. The few times I have tried to play golf I couldn't even hit the ball My brother is obsessed with it though. I guess it's like any hobby, you don't see the appeal unless you simply do.

I would never play golf but I enjoy watching it on the TV - I like to watch the Majors and the Ryder Cup. It's much more interesting then bloody cricket anyway.

I love golf.

A lot of technical skill and physical control is needed to play at an elite level. No, it doesn't require running, but the amount of training needed to be a professional at it is no less than other sports, and more than most.

And it inherently sets itself up for dramatic moments because there are pauses to build anticipation between the action, and because you aren't playing head to head, every shot matters in the long run (among the leaders anyway).

Plus it's something you can have on in the background while you are doing something else (like playing games on your computer) without having to commit full attention to it until one of those dramatic moments comes up.

I don't think golf is boring to watch once you get yourself in the right mindset and really focus on what the players are doing. I don't think I've ever played golf, but I don't think I'd be good at it
