6'1" ish, and I simply divide short and tall into a rating scale based on myself. If you are shorter than me, you are short. If you are lower than my shoulders, you are a short stack. Same with tall, but that comes about less often.

That's pretty insightful; I bet you're right. Also, breaking it down further into inches and 2.5 cm might also change the distribution
