Thread: Songs that deserve more recognization

Default Songs that deserve more recognization

You know those songs that you love but no one else knows about them? Or atleast anymore? What are some of those in your opinion? I think "She's So High" - Tal Bachman & "There She Goes" - The La's need a lot more recognization nowadays. They're great songs. No one knows them anymore.

No matter how much you and Sigmund Freud want it to be, 'mother' is not a curse word.

Songs like Lysergic Bliss or Wraith Pinned to The Mist by Of Montreal. Or anything by them. I find them so original, they have this cool time changing thing going on, they sound kinda 60sish at the same time sometimes, I dunno, it's hard to explain. I think they're an amaaaazing band!

Anything including Sarah Jezebel Deva. She is amazing! Apparently she has a range of 4 octaves. So far I've heard two or three. (I love her version of "The Wind That Shakes The Barley" on the Tribute album for The Dead Can Dance. THAT song is amazing.) She's also the backing vocals for Cradle of Filth.

And I'll point out her band.

Any song by paramore. I cant pick one because they are all great. They are awesome if you are looking for a pop-rock/alternative band. And a girl lead singer that can actually sing, and shes only 17! She has an amazing voice. And they arent avril lavinge kind of music. They will soon be a big hit in the us. They've got great potential

"The End" -- The Doors. Pure class. I can't understand why this is so underrated.
This subliminal message could be meant for YOU. But it's probably not. Move along ;D

Not to bag the band but people find them to in comparison with the emo gendre and no one with good taste at a young age really listens to emo anymore.

I would have to say anything by Agalloch on their "Ashes Against the Grain" and "Pale Folklore" albums. Especially the songs "Fire Above, Ice Below", "Falling Snow", and "Dead Winter Days."

None, because of the songs I listen to get recognized, stupid-ass kids will run around listening to it, and then the band will go to MTV, and then they'll suck.
