Well, that's because more popular members are trusted more. For a noob, if they right away start posting a lot of spam and bad things they'll be banned because the CKs and Admin. don't want them to do this a lot, but with more "popular" members, they know that they aren't acting like themselves if they do post horrible things, and they warn them to let them know that they need to stop doing that. Popular members are ones that usually post a lot, and ones that have been here for a long time, so that means the CKs and Admin. know that they know the rules, and expect them to stop. But just because a member is "popular" doesn't give them immunity from being banned instantly. For example, if Levian (sorry to use you in this example Levian!) suddenly posted porn and started cussing everyone out in one post, I'm sure he'd be banned right away, just like any other member.
