Yeah, we had this featured in a thread in EMOeoeo a few months back. I think the concesus is that it is a true satire (not the irony posted in there now that rips on logic, but rather a true true satire) on "zealotical thinking".
The true irony is that it has been sited as a source against religon. lawl.

It's an obvious satire website (look at the small print above the copyright) meant to mock dogmatic religious ideals that are spouted without any evidence.

Maybe it's a joke. Maybe it's an experiment to see if people will really believe in this joke. Maybe it's an experiment to see if they can garner attention from various groups who are involved or (more appropriately) were involved with proving or disproving the earth is round. I doubt, though, that the people behind the site truly beleive in their claims.
