Because weather is a wonderful subject to discuss!

2. who actually cares about the weather

Your local weatherman or woman. As well as all the other professions dealing with weather.

3. weather is just small talk

I could write a pretty lengthy post on weather.

4. the weather in my area is pretty warm

Warm is good.

5. tube socks go great with ketchup ;)

Tube socks go great with everything. Except pickles. They do not understand each other.

Coastal Oregon weather. Around Newport, Oregon to be incredibly specific.

Basically: Cloudy overcast skies with a light-to-medium amount of rain. Cold enough for a long sleeve shirt or a hooded sweatershirt but not requiring a jacket of any kind. Scattered thunderstorms with a light breeze.
