I know what power Gandalf has - I've read a lot of the books by Tolkien. But it doens't change the fact that Alucard wouldn't be capable of dying whereas Gandalf is. No matter how powerful you are, if you are against someone who can't be killed and really wants to kill you, you will lose sooner or later.
