    Default Reset

Ok I have a question. I'm going to try to play the game straight through without fighting any random battles and was wondering if there is any soft reset so I dont have to completely restart the game every time I run into a random battle. Is there something I can press at the formation screen or in battle?

    FFXIV Character

    L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Start + Select should do it.

Have you tried it? What do I do just push all those buttons at the same time at the formation screen and it will start over?

You'll probably want to save your game beforehand, of course.

Yes, press all the shoulder buttons and Start/Select to perform a Soft Reset. It makes the game go back to the title screen so you don't have to boot the console again.

Soft reset is a lifesaver as well if you're trying to breed a specific monster or fighting a random battle against a particular combination of enemies (for stealing or poaching purposes).

And of course if one of your units is crystallized.

I always thought every game should have a 'reset when you get angry and mash the buttons' function. And FFT sure as hell made that useful.

Actually, the soft rest doesn't involve L2 and R2 in FFTactics... I found it strange since all other FF's require all six buttons...
