well, FF7, 8, and several Animé's have oversized or physics defying weapons. I'm not saying I completely dislike the idea completely, and if you're attached to it then I won't bring it up again. But a funky weapon on a main character wouldn't interest me all that much. On the other hand, a side character, or just another character weilding a funky weapon would be cool. I like Barret's Gunarm more than Clouds Sword, as an example.

However, that can be changed without too much trouble even somewhat further in the production. So without too much debate, I think we should focus on other things, like... he's nude, and washed up on shore. What happens? Is that immediately when the player gains control? Or is there a cutscene of him finding clothes or something? Or does he just walk into town in the nude? Oh yeah, if he does have a physics defying weapon, would other people notice? I think they should. It kinda bothered me that no one noticed just how big the Buster Sword was.
