Kay, start at the door. Then go counter clockwise 3 times, and end at the bottom corner, just for insurance.

Hmm, you may want to try out walking around the room, touching the walls. I'm always holding the Cancel/Dash button when controlling the characters to make them run faster, but it could be that Spekkio's room is a place where you have to walk rather than run.

Try leaving, coming back in, then walking around the room. That always worked for me in every version of the game I played (SNES, ZSNES, and PS1)

Can't remember having trouble here, but here's how I always do it anyway: I start to the left of the door, walking facing the wall around the room 3 times clockwise, ending up to the right of the door the third time, then I go talk to him.

Any slight deviation from the wall makes it so that you have to start over. Just walk counter clockwise starting at the door. When you have done it three times then go talk to him. I have never had trouble doing this on any emulator or system.

Yeah, I beat it. Afte four days of playing my friend was watching me play and said I was going in the wrong direction. I'm stupid.

I have always been of the mid that this is the hardest part of the game.

No seriously, I have more trouble with this than anything else.
