they are easy to take out if you use a Mist quickening, I recommend Vaan, Basch, and Balthier. as long as you get the inferno conncurrence it should die in one hit. Just keep away from the 2nd one.

They only have about 2500HP, so once you level up some and have 3 party members with you at least, you'll be able to take them out with no problem. Just don't go getting near them during your first trip to the Giza Plains.

Liberation from everyday deeds! I will now have time today and on the weekend to spend playing this game. Hopefully now I can actually put in some serious play time.
OMG, yes, that's perfect. I couldn't figure out who I was thinking of before.Originally Posted by Miriel

Boy, some of these bosses are the real deal. I haven't died so often playing a FF game in a long, long time.
Take care all.
I'm currently about 9 hours in, (SPOILER)aboard the Leviathan and I've only stopped playing because I fought the mini-boss battle ((SPOILER)two Judges + regular Imperial soldiers), died, tried again and won but went the wrong way and wound up dying again. After I work off the boredom of going through the same dungeon a THIRD time, I'll go back to playing.
I do have a few questions though, all of them are about things that happen BEFORE (SPOILER)Leviathan:
(SPOILER)Why did the Marquis of Bhujerba hand over Vaan+Co. to the Empire if he is on the side of the Resistance? Was it to save his own backside because he announced Basch dead? Or what?
I've forgotten Lamont's (SPOILER)real name and (SPOILER)political position, what were they again?
Other than that, the story is very complex yet understandable to me.
Balthier is the sex, Fran's voice is indeed amazing, and none of the main characters annoy me! This is one of the only games, or media period, that has managed to make consistently not-annoying characters.
I got Feral Assault (or whatever) for Fran but it goes too fast for me to really register how to work Mist Quickenings.
A note about the music: it's very, very well done and fits the game perfectly. Unfortunately, no tracks have stuck out enough for me to seek them out and download, like Uematsu's tracks do.
First question: I cannot remember.
Second questionLarsa and he is the fourth son of the Archadian Emperor, younger brother of Vayne.
(SPOILER)Lamont is male?
Just a question, how do you save in this one?
Blue save crystals and Orange Teleport cyrstals.
(SPOILER)
Along the way there will be Green Crystals, which are mimics and will need to be defeated before they turn into save crystals.
Yes. In pictures he looks very feminine, however in game it was very easy for me to tell that he was indeed male.
The giant blue crystals. You can't miss them, they're the size of freakin' Vaan.
I just fought the battle with (SPOILER)Judge Ghis and it was rather anti-climactic for a (SPOILER)Judge battle. I mean, he didn't even use any special attacks and all I had to do was have Penelo immobilize the Imperial soldiers, have Balthier kill them off, and Basch assault (SPOILER)Ghis until he was dead. I think Fran used a Mist Quickening at one point.
I couldn't even tell he was a guy outside of menu portraits. :/ I feel so clueless. xD
No, no, no you don't understand. I was just asking to see if it was anything like ffx saving. It hasn't been released here yet so yeah.
Do they heal you fully?
Yep, they fully restore everyone's HP and MP.
Which is very good, as healing supplies and magic may not be adequate enough near the end of a dungeon.
I hadn't even started playing the game, yet. Just looking at the opening sequence, Square-Enix won me over.
I can tell this game is teh awesome.
I mean, come on, it has Prologue! My favourite FF track ever.
Prelude, but we all get what you mean.
It has been some time since it was in the actual title screen. Far too long.
