Thread: What do you think: helped or killed FFVII?

Default What do you think: helped or killed FFVII?

Personally, I think they might be going a little too far. I loved FFVII:AC but maybe they should stop with the FFVII "media". I think it may have helped SE get back on their feet a little more.

IMO there really shouldnt have been any FF7 media. Although I thought Last Order was good for the game as it looked at the original FF7 story. But I did like AC.

I think it helped cuz at least now you can actually see what the characters are supposed to look like. :rolleyes2

But yeah it was a good movie.

Not really, but it was a god-awful movie so I voted 'Killed' anyway.

Helped, mainly because you get to see the characters from a diffrent perspective than in the game. The actual movie plot was crap, but I don't think anyone can deny that the movie was beautiful and the action was amazing.

It helped fans love it more, and it helped people who hate the game hate it more. It helped everybody!

I forgot to add that it also explained a little more deeply some of the history of some characters and their connenctions with other characters.

It helped, I guess... I mean, the graphics were cool and fantastic (though the story was a little let-down for me), and people who watched it and didn't know FF7 was amazed... I mean, come on. That was a good movie.

Where does it explain the history of some characters more deeply?

Okay, I worded that wrong. What I mean't was it revealed more about some of the characters.

It revealed more of what happened to everybody in general after FFVII. A lot of people were wondering what happen too a lot of characters after the game. I personally was wondering what happened with like the 7th Heaven and Cloud, Tifa, Marlene, everybody. It told what happened with them.

Oh right. Well I wasnt that bothered with what had happened to them personally, so maybe thats why I wasnt too bothered when I watched it.

Despite all these FFVII spin-offs, I think FFVII AC actually helped FFVII. I thought it was a great movie, and it was also one of the very few movies based on video games that weren't terrible, IMHO. Some people may consider FFVII AC to be some totally cheap milking, but it doesn't bother me if the quality is good.
