Did you stick with the regular party (Cecil, Rosa, Edge, Kain, Rydia) when you defeated the game for the first time?

I didn't like using anyone else. It just seemed kind of strange.
Porom-witten! =3 White Mage Kitty.
I swapped out Kain and Edge for Palom and Porom and found it easier than the original party.
Boy am I an unfunny ass.
Nuking things with Holy is more awesome than strange.![]()
=3
I switched my party out for purposes of unlocking the floors in the Lunar Ruins and the Cave of Trials. I didn't like using them though. It seemed very unbalanced.
I kept the default SNES party of Cecil, Kain, Edge, Rosa and Rydia for my first time through the final dungeon in FFIVA. I'm not sure if I should have replaced Kain with Yang because his Jump is very slow in FFIVA (although it still protects Kain from attacks sometimes), and he doesn't cause as much damage with his spear alone. Meanwhile, Yang's attacks are quite powerful. However, I just can't imagine the final battle, its dialogues and the aftermath with a different party.

There is no signature here. Move along.
I replaced Edge with Yang in the final battle. But yeah, pretty much my pt was the same
Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

Hehe, yeah, it was prettymuch the same, you know, other than the fact that 1/5 of the original party WASN'T THERE. J/K
If I were to replace anyone, it would be Edge. His only value is throwing big swords like Excalibur because you got the Crystal Sword, so you don't need Excalibur anymore. But then once you've thrown it, he's just a pain. Although I don't feel that Yang, Cid, Palom, Porom or (ugh) Edward would be more help. Maybe FusoYa or something.
Anyway, yes I did use the original party. I've gone back since then and messed around with it, but the first time, I did the way I've been doing it since I first fought Zeromus in 1993. He wasted me quick.![]()
i liked edge, with two boomerangs, you can put him on the back row so his attack is reasonably high and his defense is great. plus he always gets critical hits against flying enemies this way.
i wanted to swap kain for yang but i thought it'd be best to finish the game with the most primary characters. i eneded up finishing it with all the others anyway to open up their trials.
I'm glad to hear that none of you took out Rosa. :ghost:
