(SPOILER)According to the character page in the strategy guide, there's an Al-Cid, and a Dr. Cidolfas.

(SPOILER)errrr ac2aly yes...there is a CID in this game...balthier's former mentor and became a villain in this game, obsessed with nethicyte...

(SPOILER)There is Cid, Cidolfas Demen Bunansa, Balthier's father, he's a sidekick villain, working alongside Vayne. You'll have to battle him two times and you'll obtain the Esper, Famfrit from him. He is killed (By Balthier) during the game.
