It's not in FFXI soundtrack or any of the add-on soundtracks, at least.

I forgot to mention, FFIII also has the Final Fantasy theme play in the end. It's very short and only has the first few notes, but it's definitely there, in both the NES version and the DS version. It's in the song called "Everlasting World", and a full version of it can be heard in the track Rebirth on FFIII: Eternal Legend of the Wind album.

Are you talking about the song that plays whenever crystals are involved (like during when when you're in a crystal room in FFIV, or during the title screen in DoS)?

Just to clear some confusion, we're talking about this song.

That's not the song in question, though.
    Oh, are we discussing overture?

Edit: Yeah, we are. My mistake.

You mean the prelude? (Which is basically just a 4 note switching 4-octave arppeggio) I love that one..and it's in II if I remember correctly, along with every other FF (even X..though it's remixed). X-2 doesn't have it I think though...

CDEG CDEG CDEG CDEG GEDC GEDC GEDC GEDC
ABCE ABCE ABCE ABCE ECBA ECBA ECBA ECBA

And then it continues with a couple other variations then repeats and there's this one section I haven't really memorized yet. Working on it.

No, not Prelude. For God's sake.

Okay, so if the song that plays when you cross the bridge in FF1 is called "Final Fantasy Theme", then what the ever present harpish song called that is often found on title screens of FF games?

Other than those two and the various Chocobo remixes, are there any other songs that span multiple entries in the FF games?

The Moogle theme is featured in FFV, FFVI, and FFIX. FFIX also reprised "Gurgu Volcano" from FFI, "Doga and Unne" from FFIII, and "Rufus's Welcoming Ceremony" from FFVII. And of course, there's the victory fanfare.

FFXII is also said to feature the return of another very beloved song from a past game, but that's a spoiler, you know.
