    Nope. Get Firefox. www.mozilla.com. Go!

Even if you only want to use it to save YouTube videos.

It only works on certain sites. Click the Video Downloader icon in your browser, right click the link that shows up in the window and click "Save Link As", then name it and give it the file extension it tells you to.

What does it mean when it says it'll install when Firefox is restarted? Do I have to restart my computer or what?

I think that you just have to close all of your open Firefox windows and then re-open then. Try that first before shutting down your computer.

there is a site called www.keepvid.com that works on internet explorer, you need to rename the downloaded file anything but it must have .flv on the end. I recommend downloading an flv player or conversion software.

    That's exactly what it means.

Use Firefox as a replacement for Internet Explorer, better security as well.

You can play .flv files with Media Player Classic and ffdshow installed, so no need to go get an extra (most likely crappy) standalone video player just for those files You can install both together if you get CCCP You might need to change the options in MPC afterwards though to enable the internal FLV splitter.
