quick general ps3 and wii question

this is really bothering me, so i must ask. it says that the ps3 has a slot for memory stick duo, memory flash, and and sd slot. my question is "is the sd slot the same thing as the current ps1, and ps2 memory card slots"? basically the reason i really want to know is because i want to know if i will be able to just stick my ps2 memory card into the system to upload all my game saves like FF XII and GT3+4 ect... ?? same with the wii, will i be able to use gamecube memory cards with it?

I know for the Ps3 you need to buy a $15.00 adapter to downlode your Ps2 games to your Ps3. not sure about Wii.

The Wii has Game Cube memory card slots.
