Are there any music artists that you used to like but now dislike? - If so, what went wrong in your opinion?

For me its Greenday. I was such a massive fan of their old albums, but American Idiot just let me down so much. I barely listen to GreenDay now. Smae with The Offspring.
One word....... Metallica!! They were pretty cool, now they suck ass.
Jay Z. His work nowadays is boring but back in 1995 he was the king of freestyling ( with Big L, of course )
Green Day and Blink 182, they rocked hardcore back in the mid 90's and lte 90's but just kinda fell off and got too serious after that. it ruined their music
I agree that blink and green day went a bit too mature and boring, but I still liked their new stuff, though preferred old, and it was no reason to put me off the bands, since you can still listen to the old music They had to try new stuff sometime.
Anyway, I can't think of any it's happened with over a long period of time in terms of their music, but The Kooks and Razorlight in a short space of time. I thought the kooks were pretty cool at first, but I saw them live (well on tv anyway) and they just bug me with their curly hair and tight trousers.
And then most of the other songs on their album annoyed me. Razorlight I liked, and still the music is okay, but the guy thinks he is some God in his tight white body outfit thing and >> It put me off. I know its not all about image but uhh, eww. I can't stand trendy indie bands with massive egos.
He Is Legend's new album was a disappointment. Musically, it was more of the same they did on "I Am Hollywood", but the vocal style changed for the worse. Not happy with it.
Also, Saves The Day got worse from "Stay What You Are" onwards. They totally killed it on that and "Through Being Cool", and then they go and listen to a Weezer album and put out the travesty called "In Reverie".

I would probably go play video games or have sex (the usual) - Nominus Experse
my mom would be like "ve? yo te dije, el internet no es bueno."
"seriously, my mom tells me "que tu hase en eso el dia entero?" and im like "mami yo toy hablando con people" xD. spanglish, ftw." ~ liz
Bands such a Linkin Park I listened to when I was about 12.
I grew up though, so it's not their fault that they suck.
I kinda got into GreenDay with the release of American Idiot but when I watched the live DVD it completley put me off them 'cos Billy Joe is such a twat.

Any band that was popular in the 70's and then went into rehab in the eighties, they get out release one good album and then never return to their original glory. I'm looking at you Aerosmith...
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
Less Than Jake. Honestly, their actual songwriting has improved, I give them full credit for that, but with the disappearance of the horns and trumpets from their stuff, their poor guitar playing is really shown up. Their songs tend to sound much the same now, which is really unfortunate, since during their ska punk era, they were utterly awesome.
The Offspring are another band I have issues with their later albums, but I can kinda understand where they're going. I mean, when they started, they were still bitter and angry, whilst now they're living the good life and everything's sweet for them. It's hard to stay pissed off at the world when everything goes your way. But then, look at NOFX. 23 years, and they get better every album, still making great music and sticking to their punk roots. Having said that, Splinter did have some damn good songs on it. It's far from impossible for them to keep up the quality and shift into a different genre somewhat.
The Spice Girls
Devil Man was a huuuuuge Spice Girls fan for a couple of weeks and then they went downhill.
Also...
Britney Spears
She was also mega-talented but, uhh, has gone a bit wobbly since then
Evanescence... I use to like them but now I hardly hear their music! Which is a shame coz Amy Lee voice is damn good
