stupid prison

Sorry for long haitus of not posting or anything, school has been hell for me >_<

Okay anyway, i'm stuck (well not stuck, i just gave up after being killed) in the prison. I just beat those 3 Seeqs, and now i have to get out with Fran and Balthaer or whatever his name is. How exactly am i supposed to sneak outta this place? I was doing okay, and then that mage guard saw me (it was unavoidable, not my fault) and 3 or 4 other guards ran up and slaughtered me. I dont like being killed, nor do i like fighting these guys since i'm like level 5....any advice?

Sounds like you're waaaaay underleveled...battle is sort of unavoidable at this point. Try rechecking your gambits and nabbing as many useful abilities as you can through the license board with the equipment you have in your inventory...if possible get each guard isolated so you can kill them one at a time and hopefully gain some levels and make it easier for yourself. Yeah, i kinda figured i was underleveled >__< I think maybe i just need to do what i did on IX and X, just start over and level up appropriately...haha, thats pretty sad that i've had to do that on two other games, i'm a slow learner. Ah well *shrug* But what lv should i be for this prison part anyway, to make it easy on myself? It kinda takes a long time to lv in this game, which is why i havent been doing much of it

By the time you're thrown in prison, you really haven't had much time to level up outside of the monsters you faced in the sewers. If I recall, Balthier and Fran were a slightly higher level than Vaan at that point, but I never had any trouble with the guards. Worst case scenario, just watch the movement patterns of the guards on your minimap and avoid the ones you can. Let Fran handle healing and have both her and Balthier focus on your target.

There are several 'Knot of Rust' items inside the prison. They deal some damage to any enemy targetted with them (which will help since you don't have any weapons for that fight). I suggest getting all of them, and using them to take care of the boss' henchman, and then concentrate on him alone.

General RPG standard, but if your levels are at the point where the characters that join your party or above, then you're okay in that area.
