As for actually using them, not so much.
I have to have it in my lap as I play through! I must read every page so I don't miss a thing!
I like to have it handy so I can make a reference as I play through.
I like to look through a strategy guide once I've completed a game so I can see what I missed.
Strategy guides are the devil!
