I can't get the W-item cheat to work. Instead, I end up wasting 2 of whatever (potions and elixers). If someone could explain it, it would be much appreciated.

when you use w-tem you have to use 2 items in one go,
okay lets use a potion as an example, and lets say cloud has w-item eqqipped go in to a battle and use a potion on cloud then go to potion again select it so the arrow is on cloud but then press cancel to go back to the list of items,then select the potion again so the arrow is on cloud again and then cancel,
keep doin this until you have how ever many potions you want
i hope ive explained it right
If I was like Cloud I don't think I would have taken that test.

You can also do the trick if you only have one of the item you wish to duplicate. Select the intended duplication item first, then any other useable item second. Alternate between confirm and cancel and the amount of the first item will increase.
