At least everyday if he means it. Unless that doesn't work for their relationship. I like to hear it everyday. Probably not more than once a day very often though.
I do not think it is necessarily the amount of times you say it but the feeling behind it and when you say it. I mean if you say it too much it just because a meaningless habit, or at least I think it can.
In case you ever "get on?"
I'm not sure where that;'s coming from, but telling a girl that you"Love Her" means you're trying for a very serious relationship.
It could get you dumped really quick if you start that crap too early, or, worse, it could cause her to really fall in love with you. And doing that kind of emotional damage to your gf never enhances the relationship.
If you really do, you'll probably say it naturally enough that it won't ever be an issue.
If you're just being a naughty faker, say it before you go to be bed or when you'll be apart for any significant amount of time and I'm sure it'll work out.
Real men don't love.

When we're not long distance, maybe once a day on average, usually before we go to sleep or if something special happens. When we are long distance, every time I call her, which is usually once a week, sometimes more. I don't think it's needed to say it every day, really, just because you didn't say it one day doesn't mean it stops being true.
