What is the most money you have ever had at one time on a FF game?
I have over 7 billion on FFVII. That's the most I've EVER had on any game pretty much.![]()

This question isn't exactly fair, because Final Fantasy VII had more money flowing in the world's economy. Thus, things cost more but you have more than enough money to meet the higher need. Plus, not like that was the hardest game to obtain money. =P
Titles like VI and under used small amounts of money with small prices.
I don't really take note of how much money I have upon completion, but I remember having 7.5~mil on Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. (My file only has a few hundred hours of gameplay =P)
By the end of hunting for Pink Tails, I had enough cash to buy 99 Elixirs and Dry Ethers, with a max of 999,999 in my inventory as well.
I've had 12 billion gil in FFIX. I was filthy rich. So I bought some eye drops.
On FF1: Dawn of Souls I bought 99 of every buyable item I could find, and obtained 999,999 gil (I have got to find another game:rolleyes2)
This is a signature.
FF1 NES, I think I accumulated the max 99999999999 or however many 9s there are, once.
Yeah, I do that too. Because then when an enemy uses ink, I can insult them by using one of my 99 eye drops. And this one time, I bought an Echo Screen. I never used it, though. I mean, I only had one, so if I was gonna use it... You see what I mean, right?
Hey, anyone else remember calling it "GP"?
I honestly rarely carry a lot of money in FF games. I get what I need from shops and then blow the rest on Ethers. I usually will go to Melmond, see how ridiculously expensive the Steel Armor is, then go kill Kyzokus because they're easy and they drop more than Sharks, and are much easier than Geists.
I suppose I probably had quite a bit in FF2 for the SNES as I spent A LOT of time fighting to level up for the last guy. However, I never bought anything with that particular stash. I could've bought some Ninja Stars for Edge, but I figured I'd just have him use "Pin" against Zeromus.
Yeah, once you got your steel armor, money is purely for high level magic, and even then there's enough cash in treasure chests that trying to get money is rarely a problem (FF1)
Try FF3j. At the end, you can buy Shurikens for your Ninja class, and they can do all 9s. But they're 65k a piece. Needless to say, if you have money, there's no reason to because it's always better to have more shurikens.
as far as memory serves (and i have to rely on it since i am too lazy to put in the game itself to check) - about 25 million Gil on Final Fantasy VIII. making fast money in that game is as easy as junctioning, xD. i never used a guide or anything, i just have a natural knack for making money...

In almost every FF game, I've had at least 250,000 Gil
Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

how do you get 7-12 billion gil?
7,000,000,000 is 7000 million gil and 12,000,000,000 is 1200 million gil. jeez. i dont have that much spare time to waste.
i usually end up with 300,000-1,000,000.
