Waiting in line for the PS3

I saw on TV a line of people wating in front of Best Buy for the PS3. Isn't that kind of insane to wait in line for a week before the release of a video game system? I mean seriously, in 6 months or so there will be PS3s all over the place. Any possible glitches will be worked out too!
Makes me glad I waited a few months before getting my 360. Just walked into a store and bought it. I'll do the same with the Wii too!

I think that even though he mentioned the PS3 specifically, what he said was crazy was that people are waiting in line for the PS3 a week before it's release. Not that they want the PS3 instead of the Wii (even though that's completely blasphemous), but how long they're willing to stand in place.

I don't have anything against the PS3 or Sony. I had my PS1 for years and I have and love my PS2 now. I'm just saying I think it's insane waiting in line a week in advance just to buy a console. Any console. I only mentioned the PS3 because I saw a news clip on TV.
