Sweet dude, sweet. It really looks like this one will focus on Sandman, GG2, and the black costume, saving Venom for another movie, which is good. They shouldn't try to do too much in one film.

I thought this was going to be a trilogy and that was going to be it.

I also thought Sam Raini would be directing a trilogy. It's good that they're not trying to fit everything into one movie like some other movies, such as Star Wars Episode III and probably Pirates of the Caribbean III, did. I just hope the movie doesn't end in a lousy cliffhanger. Looking at the trailer, it seems this movie will be very dark. The first two Spider-Man movies did an excellent job developing Peter's character, so hopefully the third movie will also have a lot of character development rather than merely going all-out with action scenes.

Anyway, both trailers give no indication that Brock will be Venom in this film, but they could be just saving it as a surprise. If the end of the movie is the scene at the bell where Spidey loses the suit, and it drips on to Brock, then I'll be very satisfied.

I dont see this movie surpassing the second, too much going on in my opinion. Sadman looks dull (he was easily the worst Spider Man villain ), were all bored of the Green Goblin now I imagine, but Venom will still be a treat. And Im a 100% certain hes in the film as they introduce Brock in the trailer ( who's only purpose would be to become Venom ) and the fact that you see Peter in a church ripping the suit off, which happens to be where Brock becomes Venom in the cartoon.

I kind of wondered how they were going to work Sandman into the plot: in the most stupid way possible, of course.

yeah, i personally think that the way they included Sandman isnt very good at all, and will make the fights a silly revenge vendetta, but it does look like a very good movie!

well, they need a reason for peters symbiotic suit and why he is torn between doing it for profit and power vs the good of mankind

that said, if there were six movies, here is how i think it will go down

3- sandman and spidey suit, beginning of venom, development of GG2

4- venom vs spidey possibly beginning of GG2

5 possibly beginning of carnage / carnage as main villianif they didnt begin GG2, else it will be GG2 match

6 GG2 or Carnage, depending how they did it

any other major villians that went up against the big spidey? I dont think kang(hunter dude) or the vulture would make the cut IMO, nor the Rhino. maybe as henchmen, but spideys villians were mostly always solo, except for the sinister six.
