How did they seem more mature than 17?

All Squall did was be an angsty teenager: "LIFE SUCKS, EVERYONE GOES AWAY IN THE END, LOVE IS STUPID, SEIFER IS SEXY."

All Rinoa did was whine and be cute the whole game: *giggles*

Squall seemed a bit more like 19 to me, but with their lifestyles being different 17 sounds about right. Rinoa was about the same as for looks but her maturity, or at least at the start of the game, was that of like a 13 year old. Good thing that improved later or she wouldn't have much of a fan base at all...wait, scratch that, most of her fan base only cares that she's good looking.

According to attitude yupe they're 17...but I'm talking about their appearances now...Which...I dunno...But i had to agree Rinoa's attitude is more like a 13 year old girl.

With appearance I would have to agree that they seem a year or two older than as previously identified. I wouldn't say they're passed the early 20's though.

If I met them on the street, I'd peg Rinoa for about 17, and maybe Squall as 19 or 20. Definately not much older.

They might have seemed older to me when I first played the game (I was 17 then), because as a high schooler they seemed grown up to me. However, now that I'm 24, there's no way they're as old as me. No way.

I never really thought about their age that much. They're older than me, and they act it (except for a few *cough*Selphie*cough*). Squall does actually act like a teenager, however.

hmm well at the ages of 17 guys start to have girl troubles or get a girlfriend (mostly) and girls aswell except guy troubles not girl troubles of course....they try and make it like reality....
