My real estate agent, old Jill
Has excellent properties still;
There's none of it bland,
Still top-dollar, and
Has vacancies I'd love to fill
Let's just say he'll make a few "sacrifices" later on to make up for his below average spellcasting skills.
I hated Tellah. He's only good for lvl 2-3 magic early in the game. If he gets hit, he's dead. Especially in the fight before Cagnazzo.

Specifically:
tellah turns out to be very good at building altars, and he eventually recalls the truth about himself- That he's an Aztec Priest who can please the gods with his master craftsmanship with corpses and sacrificial altars.
Eventually, all you need to do is capture a calf or some such and one sacrifice can bring the fiery wrath of the gods down upon an enemy.
(SPOILER)Don't use "Sacrifice" against Rubicant
Tellah would have been better off as an empty space in your party.
Anyone that says:
clearly is better off."You must have been controlled by the Baron while amnesiac!"
Three reasons. Firstly he has the worst HP growth in the game. Secondly because of storyline purposes he can't go over 90 MP, meaning of the high-level spells he can cast, he'll only manage one or two per battle max. Thirdly his stats are easily the worst in the game. Most of physical stats will be very low and actually get lower as he gains in levels, and it's even possible for him to lower every one of his stats to 1 (0 in the GBA version) if one were to have him in your party at higher levels.
There is no signature here. Move along.
Yes, for story purposes, his MP is lowered, in his defense, if you pay attention to what the elder says, he says Tellah is in no condition to cast Meteor/Meteo, which foreshadows his vitality and such stinks until he gets a moment to shine against Golbez, but the end result of that battle is a spoiler.
I never really have much trouble with him, just stick him Back Row and leave him to his spell casting. Most of the time you can just use Osmose to fill up his MP fairly quickly (2-3 turns), and you rarely need to be casting Level 3 spells every turns, so I don't really run into the low MP problem. Other than that he's your typical mage with low physical attributes.
Plus the Magus Sisters and Dark Elf would have been a pain without his White Magic.
Boy am I an unfunny ass.
Tellah was godly when fighting Scarmilogne, and Cagnazzo, I honestly have no idea why you guys are complaining.
Leave some shards under the belly
Lay some grease inside my hand
It's a sentimental jury
And the makings of a good plan
He runs out of MP too quickly, and has a habit of dying.... thats mostly why they are complaining.
In the PS1 version, I found osmose to very rarely get any MP back... making him very low on MP.. but in the GBA version, osmose seems to get huge numbers and he can refill his MP at will.
He still has horribly low HP and dies alot.. that is probably my only quam with him.
