It shouldn't be legal to make me work this early
I legitimately woke up at 3am today. This is a travesty or something.
Anyway, they are going to have me work 4:30am - 1pm for the remainder of the year. Why? I'm not sure. What do I do for a living? Provide tech support.
Anyway, it's not too bad. It's been 75 minutes and I haven't taken a single call. I almost want to take a call now because then I know I won't take a call for another eternity.
My break is in 45 minutes...
Anyway, topic: anybody work the skeleton shift? Why? Why do you do it?

Cause Terrorist might conduct a raid.

I don't work the graveyard shift as it is reffered to over here. But my brother is out of his house most mornings at 4am or earlier and sometimes doesn't finish untill gone 5 at night. He's a lorry driver btw.

Tomfoolery
I get up at 4:30 everyday bud. Get into work about 6:15 - 6:30 and leave at 3:00, and get home about 4:30
I hear ya though, this whole working for a living thing sucks.

wat?
The only hours I get is 3 PM-9 PM or 4 PM-10 PM, or sometimes 5 PM-10 PM.
And it's not really even a lot of hours to whine about.
I'd rather work in the morning then get the afternoon off. :|

My only adventures with skeleton shifts are all-out levelling on a certain MMORPG. But that's a different story.
My ISP claims they've got 24 hour tech support. I believed them and actually tried calling when I've had problems early in the morning (ok, like 5 or 6 am the earliest) or at night (11 pm the latest) and got no answers.

Slaad
I would LOVE to work those hours (when I start working). Go to sleep when I get off work, wake up at 9:00/10:00, watch TV all night, then go to work. I dunno what your schedule is like, but that would be mine.

o double d to the l e r
I currently work 2:30pm to 11:00pm. I used to work 11:00pm to 7:00am. I have also worked 7:00am to 3:00pm. They all have their pros and cons.
