Being ignored...

Have you ever posted a reply to something and then the conversation keeps going like you aren't even there? Like you never posted in the first place? This happens to me frequently. I think it just might be me. Also, I have a thread I started called "a FLV converter" and no one has replied to it *yet*. I still have hope.

People don't really respond to other people in threads. Or that's the opinion that I've formulated. The people that quote me are more often than not people that I'm friends with. So maybe you need to make friends.

Yeah. People ignore me all the time.

But that's because I'm not witty. Most of my posts don't really hit home for comedy or wit or intelligence or anything of the sort, and so nobody cares.Somebody will say the exact same thing, but add a touch of magic that I ain't got, and that'll get the reply.

What I'm trying to say, Rinoa, is that you're not good enough. Your posts are lousy, and people generally find everything you say unimpressive.

But don't worry, there's hope. The forum goer usually developes skill in the art of posting. After some time, after a few hundred posts, you'll learn from the masters. And once you've started writing out good replies, people will recognize you. And once people recognize you, they'll start to like you. And once they like you, well, then you can post absolute crap and still get replies over balanced decent posts by unknown noobs who nobody cares about (Like you right now. Go ahead. Solve world peace and post the formula for cold fusion. I don't care. NOOB!!!).

Or you can go to EOEO and vent your rage by causing massive multiplayer online controversy, stating outlandish, uncomprimising, insane points of view and get people all riled up. Then they'll notice you. They'll notice you then. Yeah. And you'll have your revenge!!!!!

Oh I have tons of that happened...in EoFF and in other forums...I tend to be ignored and I can't do anything about it can I...Forget it...being ignored is one thing neyond our control.

People often say they feel ignored and that people don't pay attention to them on EoFF. Fair enough. But do these people make the effort to pay attention to other people? If someone drops me a PM saying hi, or leaves me a user note, then I'm far more likely to give them attention. Take Decessus for example. That kid mentioned me at every opportunity he got, bless his disturbing little self. I sure as heck don't ignore him.

Yeah pretty much that's the same with me, only replace friends, with people who completely disagree with my completely factual views on everything. >.>
