Thread: Volume Settings.

  1. #1

    Default Volume Settings.

Well, I wanted to put my volume down, when I noticed that my volume settings weren't there..(You know, the one's at the end of your taskbar thingy that look like a speaker.) I don't really remember how to put them back since I don't remember the last time I did it. Help, anyone?

    Windows XP

Start > Settings > Control Panel(for those in classic)
Then doubleclick Sound and Audio Devices.
Then check "Place Volume Icon in the Taskbar"

For those not in classic view, well its pretty close to that
    and you should switch anyway

Well, it was already on that. The "Place Volume Icon in the Taskbar" was already checked, and it's still not there..

It's not hiding behind your automatically hidden icons, is it?

Untick the Place Icon blah blah box and ok it, then go back in and retick it. The program behind the icon might have crashed hence you're not seeing it any more Reboot might work too
