Mermaids have honorary human rights. In return for all the work they do on preserving of our seas.
EDIT: We must also tackle their rights as mutants.
They deserve only Human Rights!
They deserve Animal Rights.
They should have Full Human and Full Animal Rights!
They should have Half Human and Half Animal Rights!
They deserve to be grilled and served with a nice, juicy Salad!
