Really I hardly see a resemblance. Harlequin is evil, loud, obnoxious, and has a hideous accent. Selphie is good, cute, loud, just the typical young energetic female archetype.

I really don't see too much of a similarity other then they both are female and of the move outgoing/loud variety.
