Was there a point where you actually stopped and marveled at the graphics? For me, I topped and watched White Whorl, and failed my quickening chain.

I liked to look at the sky in a lot of the areas, the sky was really well done. The water too in the Giza Plains during the rain....well except for thier uber reflectiveness. >.>

Also the area before Archades had a great view, I loved to just get to the top and look down.

Which Final Fantasy 8 Character Are You? You are Raijin! Few people can be as loyal a friend as you.
You like to win the respect of others, and once you've formed
that bond, you'll defend your friend to the end. You have a
tendency to fly off the handle, but usually with good reason.

The first time I ran around Rabanstre I couldn't help but simply stare at things. The whole game is so beautiful it completely blows my mind. Every area is magnificent and I just want to gaze at all of Ivalice all day long.

I like Exodus (Well, Libran must like each other) too.

skillzboy4 - (SPOILER)It's in the Pharos, not the Cataract.

Yea, the graphics are pretty great for PS2. My only complaint is that they kind of "blurred" some of the cutscenes to eliminate the rough edges. Whatever though.

Some of the ender technicks of some of the later, optional espers are particularly fantastic. Especially (SPOILER)Zodiark's.

A few of the cutscenes, for a few seconds I couldn't easily or immediately tell if it was an FMV scene or an in-game cutscene.

Final Fantasy XII truly took the Playstation 2 hardware above and beyond a whole new level.

I forgot to mention a lot of the boss's special attacks. Particularly those near the end of the game.

That floor blew me away as well. If only I wasn't spending all my time running around with my eyes on the minimap I would be appreciating all this a whole lot more.

The exterior of the Stillshrine was one of the locations that came immediately to mind.

Eruyt Village has a sort of magical garden, time has stopped, sort of feel to it, which is something of a marvel.

And definately some of the esper's and bosses attacks.. my god, some of those are amazingly done.

The Quickenings that amazed me graphicly were Pyroclasm and Whip Kick. In terms of locations it would probably be The Imperial City of Archades.

Oh, at quite a few places. Bhujerba's viewpoint on the east side is breathtaking. The Sandsea, arriving at Bhujerba and at lots of places... The graphics are outstanding!
